NEWARK, N. New England Patriots Hernandez Jersey .J. (AP) - Ryan Miller had 26 saves, Thomas Vanek scored twice and the Buffalo Sabres wrecked goalie Johan Hedbergs Devils debut in a 6-1 victory over New Jersey on Saturday night. Drew Stafford, Tyler Myers, Tyler Ennis and Patrick Kaleta also scored in Buffalos best offensive game of the season. The Sabres have had their only success this season on the road. They are 3-1 away from Buffalo, and 0-4-1 at home. Zach Parise scored for the struggling Devils, who benched high-priced left wing Ilya Kovalchuk on the same night they tried to give Martin Brodeur his first night off this season. Brodeur came on 8:17 into the second period after Hedberg allowed four goals on 13 shots. New Jersey is winless at home (0-4-1) under new coach John MacLean and 2-5-1 overall. BOSTON (AP) - Artem Anisimov and Alex Frolov scored off bouncing pucks 25 seconds apart in the first period, Henrik Lundqvist stopped 35 shots, and the New York Rangers held off Boston. Marc Staal also scored for the Rangers, who posted their second straight road win. Zdeno Chara and Nathan Horton had goals for the Bruins, whose four-game winning streak was snapped. Tuukka Rask, making his first start since a season-opening 5-2 loss to Phoenix in the Czech Republic, made 27 saves. DETROIT (AP) - Pavel Datsyuk scored with 12 seconds left in the game to give Detroit a win over Anaheim. The Red Wings rallied from a 3-1 second-period deficit and trailed 4-3 in the third after Teemu Selanne scored with 11:28 remaining. Selannes goal was the 610th of his career, tying Bobby Hull for 15th on the NHLs career list. Henrik Zetterberg scored twice for Detroit, including the tying goal with 8:43 left. OTTAWA (AP) - Carey Price made 19 saves for his first shutout in nearly two years and Andrei Kostitsyn scored twice in Montreals victory over Ottawa. Price, who has started each of Montreals seven games, has five career shutouts. It was his first in 90 games since Nov. 11, 2008. Kostitsyn opened the scoring in the first and added his second goal of the game late in the second to put Montreal up by three. Benoit Pouliot also scored in the second for the Canadiens, 4-1-1 since losing their season opener in Toronto. Brian Elliott stopped 31 shots for Ottawa (2-5-1). WASHINGTON (AP) - Alexander Semin scored three goals and Tomas Fleischmann got the game-winner 1:37 into overtime, giving Washington a win over Atlanta. The Thrashers tied it on a goal by Evander Kane with 32.9 seconds left in regulation shortly after pulling goalie Chris Mason for an extra skater. In overtime, Fleischmann banged in a backhander to provide the Capitals with their eighth consecutive home win over the Thrashers. It was the fourth career hat trick for Semin, who came in with two goals in Washingtons first seven games. Semin got his first goal in the second period and brought the Capitals back from a 2-1 deficit by scoring twice in the final 15 minutes. Kane scored two goals, Andrew Ladd had one, and Mason finished with 40 saves. But it wasnt enough to prevent the Thrashers from absorbing their third straight defeat. PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Mike Richards scored his first goal of the season and had two assists to help Philadelphia snap a three-game losing streak. Ville Leino, Blair Betts, Scott Hartnell and Danny Briere also scored for Philadelphia, which outshot Toronto 40-15. Torontos Phil Kessel and Clarke MacArthur each scored their sixth goals of the season. Of the Leafs 20 goals, 12 have been scored by that tandem. MacArthurs goal brought the Leafs within one with 1:14 left in the second period. Jean-Sebastien Giguere took his first loss of the season after going 3-0-1 with a 1.96 goals-against average. SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) - Radek Dvoraks goal with 6:32 left in the third period lifted Florida over the Islanders on Saturday night, despite a hat trick by New Yorks John Tavares. It was the first three-goal game in the NHL for Tavares, the No. 1 pick in the 2009 draft. Mike Weaver, Steve Bernier, and David Booth also scored goals for the Panthers. Tomas Vokoun made 30 saves. Rick DiPietro stopped 26 shots for the Islanders (4-2-2), who had a three-game winning streak snapped. DALLAS (AP) - Pekka Rinne made 30 saves for his 15th NHL shutout, Cal OReilly scored in the games first minute, and Nashville held on to beat Dallas. Nashville came out aggressively and built early momentum when OReilly tucked a rebound past Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen 42 seconds after the opening faceoff. Shea Weber and Steve Sullivan assisted. Rinne did the rest for the Predators, especially in the second period when Dallas held a 13-5 shots advantage. The Predators (4-0-3) won their first three games and then dropped three consecutive overtime decisions before getting back on track in their second road game of the season. Dallas (5-2) had 22 goals in its first six games. Lehtonen made 23 saves. ST. LOUIS (AP) - Erik Johnson scored 50 seconds into overtime, Jaroslav Halak made 31 saves and St. Louis beat Pittsburgh for its 10th straight home victory. Johnsons first goal of the season came after T.J. Oshie stripped Penguins defenseman Paul Martin of the puck in the corner. Martin fed Johnson in the slot for a goal past goalie Brent Johnson. Brent Johnson stopped 23 shots for the Penguins. He lost for the first time in five games this season. The Blues are 4-0 at home this season after winning their final six last season. CHICAGO (AP) - Antoine Vermette scored on a deflection at 6:29 of the third period to snap a tie, and Columbus rebounded from an early two-goal deficit to beat Chicago. Vermette assisted on R.J. Umbergers power-play goal earlier in the third that tied it at 2. Derick Brassard scored late in the second period for the Blue Jackets, who dominated the third and outshot Chicago 20-8 in the period. Columbus goalie Steve Mason made 30 saves. Patrick Sharp and Jonathan Toews each had a goal and assist for Chicago, which lost its second straight. PHOENIX (AP) - Anton Babchuk scored 2:52 into overtime and Carolina beat Phoenix after squandering a three-goal lead. Phoenix trailed 3-0 at the start of the third period, but Kyle Turris led the Coyotes comeback with a pair of goals and an assist. He scored his first goal in 18 months with 14:15 left in regulation, beating goalie Cam Ward. Turris pulled Phoenix to within 3-2 with 2:02 remaining, and just 22 seconds later he set up Scottie Upshalls tying goal. Patrick Dwyer, Jussi Jokinen and Sergei Samsonov scored for the Hurricanes, who have won two of three after dropping two straight. Wojtek Wolski added a pair of assists for the Coyotes, who have lost four of five - including two overtime defeats. DENVER (AP) - Brad Richardson had three goals, including a tiebreaking short-handed tally late in the third period, and Los Angeles beat Colorado in a matchup of the NHLs two youngest teams. Alexei Ponikarovsky, Anze Kopitar and Dustin Brown also scored to help the Kings win for the fourth time in five games. Paul Stastny and Milan Hejduk each scored twice for the Avalanche. Richardsons winner was set up when Craig Anderson wandered too far out to play a loose puck as the Kings were attempting to kill a 5-minute penalty on Wayne Simmonds. Jonathan Quick made 28 saves for the Kings. John-Michael Liles had an assist on Hejduks goal, giving Liles one in all eight games. That tied Liles with Filip Kuba for the NHL mark of consecutive games with an assist by a defenseman to start a season. Replicas Oakland Raiders Jersey .3-million, one-year contract Tuesday. It was Bryants second 40-plus point game of this series as the Lakers took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven set. They also snapped Denvers 16-game home winning streak. Pau Gasol added 20 points and 11 rebounds for Los Angeles, which also received 16 points from Trevor Ariza as the Lakers bounced back from a 106-103 loss in Game 2. "Nobody on our team quit. We didnt give up on the ball or anything else," said Ariza. "We tried to fight all the way through." The Nuggets, playing their first conference finals home game in 24 years, were led by Carmelo Anthonys 21 points, but he fouled out in the final minute. Chauncey Billups contributed 18 points, seven assists and six rebounds. The telling tale of the contest was the fourth quarter, when the Lakers rallied from an eight-point deficit to start the period and limited the Nuggets to 5-of-22 shooting from the field in the final 12 minutes. Conversely, the Lakers went 9-of-15 in the final quarter. "We played hard, but not smart most of the time in the game," said Billups. "I thought our offense was a little too impatient tonight, from everybody." That was evident as the Nuggets finished the game shooting 39.3 percent from the field, including 5-of-27 from three-point range. It was the first game of either the East or West finals that wasnt decided on a last-second shot. Game 4 is Monday, again in Denver. One night after LeBron James miracle three-pointer gave Cleveland a 96-95 win over the Magic, it looked as if the Lakers and Nuggets were destined for another final-possession finish. J.R. Smiths jumper gave the Nuggets a 95-93 edge with 1 1/2 minutes left, but Bryant drilled a pull-up three-ball from the left wing with 1:09 to put the Lakers in front for good. "Thats a great feeling. Its a much better feeling than actually being at home," said Bryant. "You enjoy it a lot more because everybody is against you and everybody is wanting you to lose. When youu hit a shot like that everybody goes quiet and it feels good, real good. Texans Jones Jersey. quot; Kenyon Martin then missed on a flip shot to the hoop and Bryant made 1-of-2 foul shots with 38.3 seconds left. Ariza, just as he did in the closing seconds of a Game 1 Lakers victory, stole the ensuing inbounds pass and Anthony picked up his sixth foul with 36.5 seconds to go. "He has great acceleration," said Lakers coach Phil Jackson. "He can really make one step and be at full speed it seems like. Those passes that are up for grabs hes exceptional at and thats why hes one of the steals leaders in the league." Ariza sank both from the line before Billups countered with two from the charity stripe. Bryant canned four free throws in the final 22.2 seconds left, sandwiched around a Billups air-ball on a three-point try. "Emotionally it was a game we werent playing well offensively," said Nuggets coach George Karl. "It seems like our offense frustrates us more than our defense." Denver led by as many as eight in the opening quarter, but the Lakers trimmed the deficit to 28-26 after 12 minutes. The Nuggets were in front by eight again in the second before the Lakers came charging back, tying it at 39 on a Bryant layup. They were behind 52-48 at the half. LA continued to play from behind, and in the final minute of the third, Billups nailed a three-pointer, and then Smith hit an incredible shot from beyond the arc at the buzzer. On the play though, Smith was hit with a taunting technical foul, a free throw that Bryant drained to start the fourth for a 79-72 margin. Arizas three-ball gave LA an 81-80 edge, its first lead since the opening quarter. Game Notes: There were a total of five technical fouls in the game, one from the Lakers Jordan Farmar when he threw the ball in the crowd in frustration early in the fourth quarter after being called for traveling...This was Denvers first home loss since March 9 against Houston...Anthony Carter scored 15, Nene 13, while Dahntay Jones and Smith each netted 10 in defeat...Andrew Bynum played less than 21 minutes in a starting role at center for the Lakers and had seven points and four rebounds...The Lakers missed 14 of their 45 free throws...Anthony was limited to 4-of-13 shooting from the field.
