The Colts franchise last won in the Steel City in 1968 and had gone 0-12 in Pittsburgh, including the playoffs, between that win and Sunday. "I think this win is real big for us," said Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney. "Its important that we get some momentum, and this game is definitely a momentum builder. Its not easy winning on the road at this place . Its been 40 years since we won here. It was a big win for us." Reggie Wayne had six catches for 114 yards, and Tim Jennings made a big interception to set up the go-ahead score for the Colts (5-4), who have won two straight to get back above .500 on the season. Ben Roethlisberger, playing despite a shoulder injury that kept him out of practice until Friday, completed 30-of-42 passes for 284 yards with three interceptions for the Steelers (6-3), who fell into a first-place tie in the AFC North with Baltimore. Jennings leapt in front of Holmes and ripped away the ball for the interception, setting up Manning and the Colts offense at the 32. Four plays later Manning hit Rhodes in stride down the right side for a 17- yard touchdown pass, and the Colts took a 24-20 lead with 3:04 to play. The Steelers had one last chance, starting at their 27. Roethlisberger drove Pittsburgh to the Indy 32, but a holding penalty and a sack set him back and forced the Steelers to burn their last timeout with 35 seconds left. Bills Fred Jackson Jersey. Moores one-yard scoring plunge gave the Steelers the lead with 9:07 left in the first quarter, but Manning threw deep for Wayne on the next drive, and pass was almost intercepted by Ike Taylor, who instead tipped it right to Wayne. The Colts receiver hauled in the pass and ran the last 30 yards for a 65-yard touchdown, tying the game at 7-7. Another one-yard TD run by Moore put the Steelers back in front early in the second quarter, and a 42-yard Jeff Reed field goal gave Pittsburgh a 17-7 lead with 4:18 left in the half. A Keiwan Ratliff interception of Roethlisberger late in the half set up Mannings two-yard TD toss to Dallas Clark, though, cutting Pittsburghs lead to 17-14 with six seconds left in the half. Adam Vinatieris 36-yard field goal tied the game at 17-17 in the third quarter but the Steelers marched on a 14-play, 64-yard drive that used up 8:27. However, the team settled for a 24-yard Reed field goal and a 20-17 lead with 7:57 remaining. Game Notes The Baltimore Colts defeated Pittsburgh 41-7 on September 29, 1968. That was the Colts team that was upset by Joe Namath and the New York Jets in Super Bowl III.Tomlin served as defensive backs coach under Dungy when the latter was the head coach in Tampa Bay.
